Insurance Investigator
Location: Jacksonville, Florida FT/PT: Part-time to Full-time Benefits: Health and Dental insurance Salary: Based on related experience. Travel: Yes Licensing: Must have State of Florida Class “C” Private Investigator License or All Lines Insurance/Adjuster License Job Description Investigate various cases through interviews, background investigations, scene inspections, product inspections and database research. Use findings to prepare detailed written reports that will be presented to clients. On occasion, meet with attorneys and claims representatives to review cases. Investigator will be expected to handle numerous ongoing cases simultaneously with little supervision. Cases are located primarily in North Florida. Other duties, as requested. Overnight travel is a requirement. As needed, job training will be provided. Requirements Capable of working independently and managing several investigations concurrently. Highly motivated. Excellent writing and grammatical skills. Ability to handle pressure to gain all information and produce reports in a timely manner. Driver’s license, automobile insurance and personal automobile. Willing to travel regularly. No criminal record. Clean driving record. Cell phone. Willing to investigate scenes along high speed roadways. Able to investigate matters involving extreme injuries and death. Occasionally, lift objects greater than 30 pounds. Preferred Extensive experiance with sophisticated insurance claims/SIU background. Excellent writing skills. Comfortable producing and editing 50+ page reports. Experience with investigations, including interviewing and background research. Understanding of legal process. Background investigating cases involving products liability, insurance matters, workers’ compensation and/or premise liability. Florida Class “C” Investigator’s License. College degree. Comfortable using digital SLR and video cameras. Experience dictating reports. All Lines Insurance Adjustor License is a plus. Spanish is a plus. Journalism background is a plus. Marketing experience and local contacts a plus.
